Home FAQs General

General Questions

Laser and Gingivitis...
Laser kills the bacteria that cause gingivitis. The treatment is painless and can heal the gums in 2-3 visits.

Laser and Periodontitis ...
The treatment is short and painless avoiding the surgical methods that usually are painful and with many postoperative difficulties. In very progressive state of periodontitis laser can be used in combination with any other surgical method. Combining the two methods we get the best result with excellent prognosis.

Laser and Root Canal treatment...                                                                                                                                                                                           Laser can kill the bacteria that might be in the root canals. By killing and actually sterilizing the canals, it prevents the formation of a cyst or abscess.

In cases where cyst is present or an inflammation on the apex of the root then by redoing the RCT and reaching inflamed area through the canal, we can cure inflammation without any surgical procedures involved. The whole procedure is very comfortable and painless for the patients.

In such cases if the bone structure is pleasant we can make implants and fixed dental prosthesis over implants. It is also possible to make removable dentures over implants. Implants increase stability of dentures.

I am not happy aesthetic of my teeth…

At first we think orthodontic treatment. We may correct the shape of the teeth by the following restorations:

  • Laminate veneers
  • Invisible restorations
  • Full porcelains without metal
  • Crowns

My gums are bleeding…
When gums are bleeding we need to think of periodontal disease, and you need visiting your dentist.

I have halitosis…

There are many reasons for halitosis:

  • Dental Decay
  • Periodontal disease.
  • Infected wisdom teeth
  • Old crown & bridges
  • Old fillings

Accumulation of food under bridges. If you are not pleased with the way the shape of your crown looks then we can fix that now. With the evolution of the technology it also increased the quality of the dental materials.

Full porcelain crowns (without metal) can be made now with more aesthetic restorations.

Why the teeth change color?
First of all teeth can be a darker color as a structure or in time. Do not use tooth coloring frequently such as (cigarette, tea, coffee, cola) rather frequently. They can affect the whiteness of your teeth leaving dark stains on them.

How much teeth can be whiten?
Each tooth is different and can differently respond to its whiteness. It can be differences of the white tons on your teeth depending on their structures. In other words it can’t be the same transparency and brightness.
Our aim is to be able to bring to you whiter shades for your teeth then their previous yellow shades.

What do you have to care after whiten your teeth? You may take a pain killer if there is some sensitivity, following 24 hours after applications you must stay away from cold and hot food and beverages, besides this please stay away from cigarette, coffee, tea cola and red wine, these products have coloring agents.

45 minutes application can be enough in the office.

Does it necessary whiten all our teeth?
There is no such a necessity, especially if it will be done porcelain crowns or dentures. We may whiten the teeth out of application.

We may apply bleaching as from what age? Minimum age is at 14-15 years old you may start whitening your teeth.

If a tooth whiten before can it be whiten again? Yes, of course there are no disadvantages in whiten it again.
If there is sensitivity we need to treat it first of all.

Can we apply it when there is sensitivity? Before we apply bleaching techniques. We need to treat sensitivity.

Is there any effect on fillings and prosthesis? Bleaching doesn’t affect the color of the filling and dentures. In case of fillings and prosthesis in bad conditions we need to remove or repair them due to the discomfort they can give before bleaching. They must be changed.

How long whitening will persist? We can say 2 years, even if for some patients will be longer than this, Important! If you use coloring agents like cigarette, coffee, cola, red wine ect they may interfere with the whitening we applied on your teeth.

Are there any side effects:
There isn’t any known side affect for this application.

Can pregnant and suckle women use it? The Companies have not performed any research for this type of condition. Therefore bleaching whitening has not been applied on them.
